Braxted Park Sparkling Afternoon Tea

A quintessentially English indulgence, crafted using the freshest of local ingredients, where possible, sourced from the Estate.  Escape the hubbub of the Christmas Market and join us in the Orangery, nestled within the peaceful heart of Braxted Park.

Our Afternoon Tea celebrates everything we love about the great British tradition – elegant, unhurried and full of flavour. Each element is lovingly handmade by local chefs, pairing locally sourced ingredients with the finest Tiptree preserves from our neighbouring Essex Estate.

Serenaded by gentle live music.  Afternoon Tea at Braxted Park is a moment of calm and indulgence – a perfect way to enjoy the Christmas spirit.

A two course Afternoon Tea, served on a traditional stand along with your choice or tea, coffee and a glass of vintage crémant.

Guests will be seated on banquet style tables, the best way to enjoy a festive experience. 

Afternoon Tea is only available to visitors to the Essex County Christmas Fair. 

Sandwich Selection:

A mix of white and granary breads, freshly prepared each morning.

  • Hand carved Braxted honey roasted ham
  • French brie accompanied with Tiptree redcurrant jelly
  • Coronation chicken
  • Prawn cocktail with Marie Rose sauce

Scones:

  • Homemade scone
  • Served warm, with Rodda’s Cornish Clotted Cream and Tiptree Strawberry preserve

Pâtisserie Selection:

A handpicked selection of delicate homemade cakes and sweet treats, which may include:

  • Lemon Meringue Pie
  • Gingerbread Cheesecake
  • Carrot Cake
  • Mince Pie

To Drink:

Sparkling-

All guests will receive a glass of sparkling vintage crémant to toast the season.

Tea & Coffee-

Choose from a range of premium teas and infusions or cafetiere coffee.

Dietaries:

We are able to cater for Vegetarians and Coeliacs by pre book only. 

Vegetarian Menu:

  • Mature Cheddar accompanied with Tiptree red onion chutney
  • French Brie accompanied with Tiptree redcurrant jelly
  • Coronation chickpea made using Tiptree mango chutney
  • Homemade parsnip hummus with festive stuffing
